Hi all.

I have been mooching around the net reading different stuff about tactics and the like, and one thing I seem to notice is many people are creating squads that differ from the rule allowance.

eg. 3 man chaos termy squad all with multimelta's, or 5 termy squad all with flamers. and all manner of other type unit/weapon combo.

How are they putting these together??

People do make mistakes. Quite a few army lists do something wrong, and need to be corrected. "3 man chaos termy squad all with multimeltas" might also be obliterators. (pretty sure they can take them, don't play chaos myself)

Another thing to consider is that not all armies play by the same rules. As an example, BA assault squads can take melta guns, C:SM can't. Some of the FW lists can do some crazy things, like all HB squads (I think, never actually seen the rules)

Then there are people plating with different editions. Or people who just enjoy the modeling side of the hobby. Or play with house rules.

Chaos Terminators can all take combi-flamers, combi-meltas, and combi-plasmas. Perhaps someone was writing melta or flamer as short hand for combi- in their army list?
