Happy We Found Our Primarch

Hello there.
I call myself Pol Terrick, I'm from Germany and this is my 2nd comeback to the addiction that is Warhammer 40.000. It all started with the release of Space Crusade and Hero Quest in Germany (here it was called Star Quest and heavily censored, concerning the fluff behind it: non-lethal weapons etc.). When was that?! 1989? 1990? Google if you will... ^^ I lived and now live again in a small town, where I never could find a table top community except for those guys, who introduced me to it (and then they moved away). So at first, as kid I was a quiet admirer of those fancy, too expensive miniatures, which were displayed at a local toy shop. So we took it to ourselves to find alternatives and use other (smaller scalled and cheaper) miniatures to expand our Space Crusade (and hero quest). We used small Revell and Tamiya soldies (epic scale, so to speak) and build our own 3d dimensional game boards...like a former snooker table turned to a maze of death including some Indiana Jones style traps (hero quest). But with time, we lost the fun (always the same two opponents...and ran out of ideas, as we knew nothing of White Dwarf and so on)
then several years later, during university, a friend re-introduced me to 40k (2003) and I dove into it...quickly dusting off those whack painted Space Crusade minis...and expanding my collection of chaos without really knowing what I did. So I gathered lots of old stuff nobody wanted to use or have (old Rogue Trader and 2nd edition marines) and started building my "Fallen Angel" Chapter (chaos DA) with heavy influence taken by the Spawn comics (my first conversion was a Urizen Demon Prince). With too much metal-terminators of chaos and the new cool plastic loyalist counter parts coming out, I felt it was time for me to start learning how to convert models... but the black, regal-blue, silver, red and whie colour scheme (like the art in the old spawn comics) was a pain in the eye...so I switched to Black Legion when the first HH-novel came out. As I had not much time or money, I absorbed tons of fluff online, but never played much...

but time was becoming even more a b***h and so I was forced to quit the hobby again after several years of attempts to finish my then Fallen/Black Legion. The only times I painted / played / sculpted was my once in a year visit of my buddy back from university.

And now, finally, work has granted me some time to return (hopefully much much more successfull and permanent) and with X-Wing stuck in the pipe (waiting for months now to get my delivery) I wanted to work with minis again...that was when I remembered that I always wanted to make a Mantis Warriors army...samurai-style.
So now, I'm here, hoping to finish my BL and my MW...
with your kind help in critique and comments that is.
