Hello All,
I've just posted up a new Batrep of my Lizardmen taking on Ogres in preparation for an upcoming tournament. I've semi-settled on a Double Slann skink cloud list. Not original by any means, but effective. Anyways, here is the link and I hope you enjoy. As always all comments or feedback are welcome.

Wow that was brutal!

I dont think ive actually seen a double slaan list before (ive heard of them of course, but never actually seen one...) and this looks impressive! How do you find the Terradons? They are a unit i have always liked but they have never seemed worth their points....

Well mate that was only my second game using Lizards but I was really impressed by them

The thing is they'll probably never pay their points back but the have so much utility:

Warmachine/Wizard Hunters (they get stomp attacks)
March Blocking
Redirecting/Double Flees (They're very hard to catch and 2 units can keep a M4/5 unit out of the game indefinitely)

Who knows though, it's pretty early to say as I'm nowhere as used to them as I am my Gobbos

Nah thats fair enough, and there are other models in the game that support similar tactics while also never making their points up so its a fair point (gyrocopters...). As i said, ive always liked the idea of them, but never see them used enough to see what they do well.

Your Lizardmen sure seem to be doing well for only your second game! lol

How are you finding the cloud in terms of time taken to move them? Are your turns taking too long or has the practice with the Gobbos helped you out here?

The cloud takes a long time to move since everything hangs on getting the flee angles correct. The fact though that it's all skirmishers does make it easier since you can pretty much just pick up and move the central model.

The game as a whole though is quicker as there is no Animosity to check/plan for and the fact that there is virtually no combat (and if there is it's over very quickly.)

that sounds a bit better then, i know you were having issues with timing in your last tourney, glad this list doesnt have the same problem from the sounds of it.

I imagine that you are loving average Ld, cold-blooded as well as opposed to low Ld animosity tests at crucial moments
