I'm trying to make a competitive list for smaller games, I've had success with a similiar list but more experienced advice is welcome, keep in mind my CSM models are VERY limited.

The first thing anyone is going to tell you is drop the MoS Lord, I understand you have limited models but if that is the case I think you should play an 800 point game instead of 1000 because the stuff you have already spent your money on is decent, so play the smaller game with a nice core army rather than try and play a 1000 point game by slapping a random HQ in to make up the points.

So, drop the lord atleast anyway. - Probably use those standard CSMs as PMs (if your friends/ FLGS would allow this proxy), if you want a smidge of fluff, 2 units of 7 is tough, or you could do 7 and 8.

Other than that, it comes down to what other models do you have? The spawns seem to be going on a rambo mission alone at the moment so if you had any other models which could be switched out for them, there could be some other changes.

I see you do not have access to the new Chaos Codex because your points are /way/ off and things like a rifleman dread (quad ACs) does not exist anymore. I am sorry, but I can not help you till you get the new codex. Your going to have a very hard time playing 40k till you get the books to make use of your figs properly and use the advice given to you.

Man, and I wasted like an hour plus working on this...erased everything because it was pointless. I didn't notice till I started making you a list and just realised that there was no way you could come up with your point totals unless you did not have the new codex.

Been playing 40k on and off since 89.
Armies...
Orks, Eldar, Lamentors, Pre-Heresy EC, CSM EC, and IG.

Ok well I never will get the codex I mean 60 bucks to use a few models I have lying around is kind of crazy, I was just trying to make a small list to have fun with, I play de for real though
