Hello all- I've been reading the book Path of the Renegade by Andy Chambers and it mentions Scourge with insect-like wings. Anyone have any suggestions? I had considered using the Vespid Stingwings but they don't really look impressive enough IMO. What would be the best material for making them?

A lot of conversions for similar things (nurgle) use blister pack plastic and similar materials, doa google search of Nurgle fly wings/conversions etc, should find a few tutorials or ideas to get you going.

Cheers. Found some good stuff with PVA glue and leaves...might give that a whirl!

I saw some insect wings over at the tyranid hive:

Scroll about half way down, and then about 3/4 the way down for painted.
I think he used a clear plastic sheet. There are differently colored sheets of acetate which, while more expensive, could remove a step or two.

I'm seriously in love with those new nurgle flying daemons makes me want to do a nurgle daemon army.

Also some plasticard, and some greenstuff would be a good way to make some insect wings.

Just cut out the card to shape, and edge it with rolled greenstuff, and add some GS veins, etc. Like insect wings.

Seems a bit steep for me to buy plague drone cavalry just to use their wings for something else.
Plus they look too ragged for Dark Eldar
