Ive been rigorously trying to come up with a list that offers Khador solid shooting. With more of a tactics style of play rather than bash them in the face. I am new to Warmachine but have put in countless hours researching and watching battle reports. so advice is appreciated.

Below is what I would like to be my "core" unit selection. Basically leaving me with the remainder for a warcaster and his/her battlegroup. Ive been trying to pick a warcaster first then choosing an army around him but recently realized choosing my army first might be the better way in constructing my list. I also realize that Khador excel in "axe to face" and while I want to exploit this with my battegroup i would really like the rest of my army to be more of support/ firepower while jacks move up.

So anyway, advice on these units? my first thought would be to put pButcher with this list with probably a Juggernaut and something else that im not sure. kinda wanna run a spriggan for flares to support all my shooting. anyway, please drop some feedback as I feel stuck on what to buy as I build towards a 35 point list.

You could do something like this.

If your looking to run a gun line I might look at dropping the manhunter and getting another WG rocketteer and the wardog to help pIrusk.

Also it seems to me like the Spriggan should be an auto include? as far as versatility and supporting all the ranged guys dealing with stealth.

I realize that Aiyana and Holt arent getting the feat bonus but because they offer such great firepower I feel they could contribute very well. but maybe not?

Well yea but we can't take Seige so he's probably your next best choice. He is gonna buff your infantry pretty well. I've heard of a pButcher gun line before but never really looked into it.

what do you think of this list, moving forward under concealment and shooting seems solid.

Looks good. I personally have never been good with pSorscha but its me not her. She just isn't my style.

If using p sorcha and running 18 points of jacks I would go with 2 destroyers for the arcing fire. I would also go with Sylas if you have him instead of either the manhunter or the Widowmaker marksman. I personally would put sylas in place of the WMM and leave the manhunter to help crack armour.

Reason for Sylas:
1) +2 range on Freezing Grip, Tempest, & Razor Wind
2) free upkeep of fog of war
3) extra die on damage and hit rolls and drop the lowest on the aforementioned spells.
