So im looking to build a list focused around using the fortress of redemption to block los to some basalisks. Ive got 3 but not sure if itll be completely necessary. Has anyone fielded or faced a similar force. Basicly i wanna use ig to man the fort and my mrines to cap objectives and what not. Open to suggestions on a building a list around this tactic

Sounds like it's gonna be kind of difficult to work out, you're dumping a lot of points into the fortress and Basilisks before you've even started the core of your force. Should be fun though.

The above is a SUPER bad-ass fire base. Good luck to anything trying to get anywhere near it. If you feel spendy, you can give one of your Vet units Harker, which gives them +1 to their cover save and ANOTHER heavy bolter.

The downside? This set up will cost you just a hair over 1000 points. If you're cool with that (you did say you were basing your army around it) then this is about as solid as you can get. If the guys you play with are cool with FW, then I would replace the stock ordinance battery with their Artillery platforms. The same gun but immobile, for about 40 points cheaper.
