Hi guys,
Have not posted for a while been busy painting. Right i have come up with an idea for a chapter of space marines. Although some of the dark angels figures that have been released lately are cool the boys in dark green are getting done to death it feels as if they are a flavor of the month etc. Now i have come up with an idea for a crusading chapter of unforgiven (dark angel successors) I am going to combine some of the existing black Templar models along with the dark angels range so that every model has a robe or tabard and that the colour of the robe will denote rank. They are different from the templars in that i will allow them to run with librarians. Now i thought of purple and midnight blue armour and dark red robes as a scheme and just wondered what you guys think would look cool? This is a modelling project as i don t game at all so its doesn't need to fit in with any rules, just look cool. I want them to have a monastic look to them so any ideas are welcome? Any other ideas for a livery scheme would be great.
Cheers guys Dreadful tom ( if this is in the wrong forum then sorry in advance)

I think purple would be good if it were dark, too light and you run the risk of being mistaken for Chaos (personal opinion). I personally would go for a DARK blue tone (a shade darker than traditional Crimson Fists) with colored robes. The dark blue will go with most colored robes without making it look too garish.

Fun idea! keep us posted as you progress, as always, pictures are a nice touch
