I recently picked up a bunch of bretonnians, and I decided this army was going to be different to ally my other armies who are all WIP's, this army I'm going to paint before I play. To refrain from painting I have not put the models on bases until they are painted, though I really haven't built any of the army. The army when done will be 3000 points of brettonians, and is based off of BBC's and the original telling of Robin Hood with Fryer Tuck leading the men at arms, Little John leading an archer unit, Guy of Gisbon leading a unit of Knights of the Realm, Mary either being my BSB with Repanse De Lyonesse model that I ordered and you see primed here, or a prophetess of the lady on a horse, and Robin will either be a Archer champion, or a paladin with virtue of empathy in the men at arms.

EDIT: Sorry for the average picture quality

Take a look for the classic Bertrand le Brigand models for your Robin, Tuck and Little John models. Also the classic Perry foot squires and Men-at-Arms are a thing of beauty. Always glad to see Brets on here. Someday I will get back to mine.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

This weekend I finished half my squad of archers, and have 5 more to go. I also built my bretonnian lord. I made him out of plastic because I despise finecast, and avoid it when I can, and I think my looks better then the ones that are made. Also I finished my Fryer Tuck (the fat model, with lots of alcohol), I plan for him to lead my men at arms. I also finished the unit filler made from a bretonnian men at arms pole arm (the thing broken on the ground, and in the orc's face), a men at arms model, the orc is from the empire huntsmen/archer box, and the rest is, well cork and sand. I hope you have enjoyed this update, I'm now on step closer to obtaining the holy grail (a fully painted army).
