I thought that the night scythe cannot be taken as a separate unit, as it is a dedicated transport.

This is correct.

I think you can dedicate more than 1 transport to each unit. So the immortals will have 2 night scythes dedicated to them. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You're wrong.

Each unit can only have one dedicated transport.

Oh cock, any suggestions on what I should replace it with and the triarch stalker as well if you want to replace that as well.

I don't have a competitive list but I'd take some Deathmarks in exchange of the nightscythe

Not sure if a min/max list would work well with Ghost arks, one of the biggest advantages of two arks is the ability to repair lost warriors. If your squad can't survive one turn of shooting then that advantage is gone. Maybe consider increasing the size of the squads, IIRC a squad of 9 warriors in an ark gives you a 5/9 chance of causing 3 glancing hits if you're within rapid fire range.

So for your 1500 pts list maybe drop the immortals and extra scythe, and replace with 5x deathmarks and add a cryptek with the ap1 flamer. This allows you to mark any deathstar units and kill them with a 2+ to wound template. Then the extra points can flesh out your warriors squads. Maybe consider more desteks than stormteks just for the extra range. The AP2 precision strikes can be very nasty and useful for taking out heavy weapons in squads

1250 Comments:
10 Warriors in a Ghost Ark (or 9 w/room for a Tek) is a better use for them, since they are Open Topped, so there isn't any reduction in firing effectiveness. If one of the Arks get's popped, then killing 5 is pretty simple, and you won't get to use the other Ark to 'repair' the squad that is on the ground since they aren't there. 5 man squads are best used to get a cheap Nightscythe and Ghost Arks won't win games by themselves. Tesla Immortals are for starting on the ground. It's super easy to get them in Rapid Fire range coming out of a Flyer, and the Gauss outperforms the Tesla when it can Rapid fire. Unless you're planning on having the Immortals start on the board and have the Nightscythe come in empty, in which case, you should bulk out that squad, since 5 will go down pretty easy if they're on the board. While 3 Barges is great, it's almost overkill at this points level, and will actually hurt you against armies prepared to deal with mech lists. I'd recommend dropping 1, and using the points to bulk out the Warriors in the Arks.

1500 Comments:
Pretty much as above. What I'd do here though is bulk out the Warrior squad in the Nightscythe, and start them on the board sandwiched between the Ghost Arks. Then you have the squads inside shooting, and 2 Arks repairing any damage done to the ground unit. This will give you that empty Nightscythe that you wanted to use anyways. The 3 Annihilation Barges are good here so keep the 3, unless you've gotten comfortable with 2 from your 1250 games. Not sure what you're planning to get out of the Triarch Stalker. You don't really have much shooting to justify the re-rolls, but you do have enough to make it worth it. The short range, means that it's only going to be an inconvenience to your opponent. Recommend putting the Twin Gauss (for the Range) on it, or dumping it altogether.

At this point level, you should be starting to look at some assaulting units. Not to go after the enemy, but to tie up any Assaulting units that get close and then die until you're ready to deal with them. You haven't really increased any shooting from your 1250 points to make much of a difference. Something that you opponents could use to get models closer. Those AV13 vehicles won't save you if they get assaulted.

Stalkers work best in pairs.

3xAnnihilation Barges is super effective.

You've got a resorb but nobody worth rezzing (other than yourself).

Stormteks are very short range. You'll have one turn to shoot with them before they get deaded. This is where I like the Destro-tek, sure, they only get 1 shot, but it's at 36". If it's twin-linked due to the stalker, then you may likely hit.

If you've got points for a Solar Pulse, you're practically guaranteed to not cough up first blood (Jink + stealth or shrouded makes those AV13 vehicles quite resilient)

For those storm teks to work, you really are gonna suffer from having to few troops. anyone with a stormtek is a throw away to be effective. You destrotek also needs a solar pulse or you will suffer while getting into position. Both your lists really don't have the punch to really deal with a foot marine enviroment which is alot of what people are running.

Okay, so just focusing on 1500 let's say. How about this list:

HQ:
Overlord (same load out as before)
Royal court:
Destructek solar pulse
Destructek

Troops:
5 warriors night scythe

8 warriors ghost ark

9 warriors ghost ark

10 tesla immortals

5 gauss immortals night scythe

Heavy support:
Annihilation barge

Annihilation barge

Annihilation barge

1491pts (such an awkward number)

Out of my Mind

Drop one of the Tesla Immortals and run them 9 man. Then add 2 Warriors to the Ghost Ark or Nightscythe squads if you feel the 1491 pts is odd.

List looks great for an AV13 Wall. Trick would be using your vehicles to restrict LoS to the Immortals, while not blocking their LoS. Not too much of an issue since your opponent has much more to deal with.

Not a bad idea that actually. I love running necrons with lots of vehicles. Most of my lists are AV13 spam with a couple of fliers to keep control of the skies.
