Hi Guys,

I am currently playing in a tournament at a club I go to and thought it would help we get into the rules for 6th. However in the last two games in have failed to kill even a single unit.

Please any advise in how to use the list below would be greatly received as I am stuck with it for months to come. I will get 250pts to add in a few games time.

Replace the Vanguard with attack bikes, they're great value and offer fantastic supporting fire.

The libby in termie armour is cool, but he'll be out on his own pretty much, better to have a JP i'd say and send him with the Assault squad.

What's the crack with your priest, he's 50 points base. I assume you've given him a JP and powerweapon but not mentioned it???

Not sure how I feel about the DC and DC dread. I would personally trade them for more scoring units since this is for a tournament, but they can be fun and can be a beat-stick.

The trouble is I can't change the list

I am new to the game and while I did try out the list in a few games. Now I am playing a tournie over several months and am having no luckwith it at all.

The DC dread loaded on the storm raven has proved to be a great combo, but as for the rest ?.

Played two games with this so far one against dark elder and the other grey knights. The grey knights wiped me out to a man as they all had termie armour, I failed to kill a single model and against the DE they tore into me as I had to many units waiting to deep strike. I also seemed to be getting no saving throws due to a load of Ap 2 weapons.

So I am stumped and won’t be able to change the list.

Basically is the list a goner or am I missing how to play it because i am new.?

well its a little rough since you cant change the list.

First off as was said the Libby in Terminator armor while cool has the problem of getting left behind or having to stay with your tactical squad basically leaving him out of the battle (BA aren't meant to play defensive really) the name of the game with BA's is speed and Jump troops. Its very hard for us to out shoot most armies at this point.

Second DC are a hard hitting force with a Chaplain on the Charge, the chaplain gives them re-rolls of failed hits AND wounds throw in a couple of power swords and they kill pretty quickly. Its a costly unit to try and drop pod since they cant charge the turn they arrive, this will give your opponent a turn to shoot them up and your list doesn't include a Chaplain to truly make them powerful.

I'm just now this coming weekend getting ready to try vanguard vets in my list for 6th so I cant tell you much about them and how they seem to fair in 6th.
