I was just wondering if anyone on here is going to warhammer world invasion in April for the doubles tournament (600pts each). If so i`m interested to know what armies or army lists you`ll be using.

Not sure if this should go in general discussion or not so....... its here.

I'm just posting here to let the both of you know that I'm super jealous. I only wish I had a store nearby that had tables even remotely as nice as the tables at Warhammer world.

If I had umpteen zillion dollars for a plane ticket and hotel, I'd probably go too. But alas....

Im representing Wakefield and im using my dark eldar and my partner is using necrons. Were still working on the necrons list but im sorted and im going for mini venom spam.

I thought america would have an equivalent of warhammer world or something even better. I guess UK is the home of warhammer lol.

Have you or your store ever won before at Warhammer world. Ive never won anything in my 4 times at warhammer world but would love to win something like best overall of best from wakefield.

I won a Fantasy Tournament there a few years ago and got a couple of most sporting player awards

I would like to win too of course but im not that bothered as long as i have a laugh!

I already know ill have a great time and a laugh.The wins are just the icing on top of the cake. The only thing i dislike is that i think they give us too long to finish each game and so im waiting around for a long time. Other than that its always good and I always get an award snatched away by loosing or drawing some very close final games on the top tables every year.

Yeah know what your saying has happened to me once or twice too, with you on the game length thing, its because some people just have to spend 5 minutes thinking before moving one unit, its so boring playing those people!

yeah, against those people i feel like just moving there models for them. Sometimes i cant help thinking they just want to drag out the game so they can end up having an extra turn than me. I think this time if this happens ill ask to stop the game early so both sides get equal turns.

Whilst i type this dude am currently in the process of painting some Grey Hunters up!

army is half painted and based so getting there should be done in time!

Not enough floor space for the FLGS. I have to travel to get anything that nice. *sigh.

Dont get me started on painting! I hate painting, i cant paint, and i find it the most boring thing ever. I need to have the warriors and trueborn painted but i think ill try to get some pre-painted stuff of ebay, otherwise ill be scoring low on points for army presentation.

Mate i feel exactly the same, i enjoy converting and gaming but i just hate the monotony of painting, i wont score high on painting but will look all nice and together which is fine by me

I looked for a professional painter online but he said it would would cost £250 just for my 600pts. If i cant find painted models on ebay ill have to go in with some terrible painted models and have them all ruined.

mine are pretty basic, painted dark grey washed nuln oil then go along and pick out all the bits and bobs

I painted my salamanders and they look O.K but DA seam so much harder than marines. Also, i just don`t want to buy paints and brushes for 600pts of models.

My store kings lynn went to the last invasion with fantasy and we won over all so feeling good about going to this next one with 40k! Me and my team mate are taking Eldar and Dark eldar so looking forward to it!!

AMEN to Gw Kings Lynn.

I was at that tournament with a duel Dwarfs list, it was really fun day and cannot till the next one.

@OP I will take some sort of multi skirmish CSM led by a sorcerer lvl3 rolling on Biomancy.

My Partner is now using CSM too because we couldnt think of a good cron list.
