I've got 2 questions, not many satisfactory answers as yet, so I'm asking on this forum!

1. Azrael - The Codex mentions that, if you're playing him, he must always be your Warlord & that he can pick any of the DA Warlord Traits without rolling.

Question is - the key word being 'CAN' - does that mean we are obligated to take DA Warlord Traits, or can we nevertheless roll for the regular traits?

2. Belial - Same question as above. Belial has 'The Hunt'. Can we roll for other traits?

Azrael, not sure. Belial, no option. You only get to roll if the character doesn't have a specified trait. See the BRB.

"Special characters roll for Warlord traits as normal, unless their profile specifically notes that they have a fixed Warlord trait."

As Azrael's profile does not specify a fixed Warlord trait, he rolls as normal, with the caveat that he has a special rule allowing him to pick from the DA table without rolling if he so desires.

I would say he can roll on the rulebook tables if you want.

Also, Mannahnin is correct re: Belial. Per the quote cited in my post, Belial may NOT roll for his Warlord Trait.

I can agree that Belial, Asmodai and Ezekiel all have a fixed Warlord Trait ("the Hunt").

I would love it if you are right about Azrael! I actually dislike the DA Warlord traits!
