I'm starting a 1000 point league soon and I face almost exclusively Space Marines. I don't have any model restrictions, except for looted wagons, which I'm hoping to get soon. Here it is, it is pretty cookie cutter but any comments or suggestions would be great:

HQ: BIg Mekk KFF- 85

Troops:
3x 25 Shoota boyz, Nob Pk, Bp -570

Elite: Lootas x 15 - 225

Fast Attack: Dakkajet extra suppa shoota- 120 (dont have the other upgrade because im not expecting a lot of enemy flyers at 1000 points)

You would be surprised at the number of fliers that can be dished out at 1000 points. The extra upgrade would be worth it IMO.

The list has enough troops and some ranged support. I reccomend splitting the lootas into two mobs of 7/8 so you can shoot multiple things.

IMHO:

Drop the boss poles add a loota and go 8 and 8. Boss poles are best in a Mech list with smaller mobs which would likely take more morale checks. With or without. Your list is super strong at 1000.

I think lootas are best at 10 models because of not being fearless but still high leadership allows going to ground and high probability of a pass on morale...

Thanks for the replies. I will definitely add one more loota and take two units of 8. Do you think a single dakkajet is worth it at 1000 points? Lastly, I face almost all Space Marine variants, is there anything I could bring that is particularly good at facing marines? Maybe a unit of loobas?

I have to disagree. It is better no matter what to take the bosspoles. The need for each is no different. By the time the tide ges to the enemy, they will be down to trukk mobs about. So either way you need the poles. Besides it is worth it every time to lose one ork instead of losing the entire squad.
