I only got to check the new demons book for a few minutes so i don't know this for sure...

My friend told me that the Masque is her own HQ choice since shes not in the heralds list, is this true?

It wouldn't make sense to me if this is true and would seriously cut into my chances of running a Keeperm her, and 3 other heralds in a normal list....

Yes. She is not a Herald. Unless you're going for double Org Charts you aren't going to be able to have all of those.

Really hope they FAQ that because if skulltaker is still a herald then she still should be

Chrysis is correct, the Masque is not one of the models that you can take 4 of in a single FOC slot

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

And the Masque is still not an Independent Character, so don't waste your points.

The masque should NEVER be an IC. She dances alone, forever

The same goes for the Blue Scribes. I'm a bit surprised (wait, never mind GW must have sold all the scribes models they have) that you can't take the scribes as a Herald either, as it is entirely too random to take a real HQ slot in any competitive game.

The thing you'll notice is that the only "heralds" excluded from the 4 for 1 are the two that aren't Independent Characters. Doesn't look like it's a mistake.

Then she can dance alone off the table because she'll never get fielded as is.

A two wound model with no survivability that takes up an HQ slot, can't hide in a unit, and can only affect one enemy unit at a time.

She needs to either needs to be an IC or see a huge survivability or power buff to even be considered for play. Slaanesh got the shaft in this codex boring or useless units, no named greater daemon, and no slaanesh wargear (aside from a boring whip and redundant sword with rending that only models with rending get ).

She can dance if she wants to.
She can leave her friends behind.
(Sorry, had to.)

But her friends do dance.
And if they do dance, they are certainly friends of mine.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
