I've gotten through my first fire team of Eisenkern Stormtroopers and a mule and put my thoughts and pictures up on my blog:

First is a review of the stormtrooper box: http://thecolorblindmodelpainter.blogspot.com/2013/02/dreamforge-games-20-x-stormtrooper-box.html
Next is a review of the accessory box: http://thecolorblindmodelpainter.blogspot.com/2013/02/dreamforge-games-stormtrooper-accessory.html
Here is a write up of my first fire team: http://thecolorblindmodelpainter.blogspot.com/2013/02/dreamforge-eisenkern-fire-team-built.html
Last is a build up of a mechanical mule: http://thecolorblindmodelpainter.blogspot.com/2013/03/dreamforge-eisenkern-mule.html

Here are some pics of the finished fire team and mule.

Nice stuff! I've just started work on mine. I'll post pics when they're done. I'm putting mine on conventional 25mm bases, though.

Excellent reviews. Definitely some of the most in-depth information about these figs that I've yet seen.

I originally had no interest in the MULE's at all, but now that I see them , I think they'd look great on any sci-fi tabletop, even if only as terrain.

Or as an objective? "Get your butts down there and bring back those MREs!"*

*MRE - Meal, Ready to Eat.

"Ask ten different scientists about the environment, population control, genetics, and you'll get ten different answers, but there's one thing every scientist on the planet agrees on. Whether it happens in a hundred years or a thousand years or a million years, eventually our Sun will grow cold and go out. When that happens, it won't just take us. It'll take Marilyn Monroe, and Lao-Tzu, and Einstein, and Morobuto, and Buddy Holly, and Aristophanes…then all of this…all of this…was for nothing. Unless we go to the stars." I'm back with a little progress on my warthog conversion.  I've now got an A-Driver finished and the gunner with dual machine guns in the mock up stage.  More pics and info on my blog:

That is the coolest thing by a longshot.

Did you order any of their transports?

Wow! They go really well in that Warthog. Is that the MacFarlance toy that was released last year?

@Mathieu - If you mean the Mules, I got two of them. I'm putting off assembling and painting them, though, until I've done at least half of my 20 troopers.

Thanks! No I didn't pledge for the DFG vehicles. The render's just looked too big for tabletop duty and the lead time looked too long. I guess my sense of proportion has been skewed by too many years looking at 40K vehicles that are too small (rhinos and space marines).

Thanks, but it's not a perfect fit. You can't see it from the pics but the helmets from the driver and A-driver stick up above the roll bar just a little. If I do any more I'll try to either cut down the seat cushions or the torso to get them to fit better. The warthog is a Mcfarlane toy, but not the Micro Ops one from last year. It's from 2008 I believe, I'll see if I can find the link. They are OOP but still available. I've seen a number of IG versions as well.

I believe that Mathieu was referring to the DreamForge APC (Sd.Kfz-K3 Keilerkopf) slated for release with the other kickstarter wave three items.

EDIT:

OK, here's the link for the Warthog. You can still find them on ebay and Amazon:

Here's a link to the DFG APC blog post. It looks cool and all but at 7.25" x 3.25" x 2.25" that's closing on the same size as a land raider:

Oh, yes. I forgot about that transport. Didn't fancy the retro look, myself.

Thanks for the links!

I didn't fancy the look either, until he showed us the Zeus version. It would make for a wonderful Basilisk... if only that tank wasn't already too fragile and this one being so hard to hide behind cover.

I'm done painting 15 of my guys, but now I have to take a break for classes and painting owed to friends. :(
