Re-posted here as I think it's more a rules/gameplay issue than purely modeling.

I want to make a model of Sven Bloodhowl, but I prefer the more imposing look of a Wolf Lord in Terminator armor. Seems to make more sense. However, I plan on primarily fielding him in PA with Belt of Russ. Though I like the flexibility too. Would you guys be cool with this provided his kit was fully disclosed?

Terminator armor is pretty distinctive; it'd be very odd if the model doesn't have a 2+/5++. I wouldn't really like it, personally.

People in general wouldnt like it. Im willing to face beer cans as Drop pods and tipped over rhinos as dreadnoughts. And i myself only own rune priests i power armour but from time to time i field them as terminators

You can use this to see who is actually plesant and descent and who is just a poor sport, i dont play poor sports

Terminator Armor vs. Power Armor have distinctly different rules and restrictions. I would not be happy with it, and most tournaments would not consider it WYSIWYG.

Wouldn't give a rats ass either way and would hate to rncounter anyone that tried to penalise you for it.

If anything the larger base should go in your opponents favour, giving them the good side with non of the bad (ie improved saves).

So yeah I'd be fine with it

If a model is wearing power armour, it should be in power armour.
If it's in terminator armour, it should be in terminator armour.
Counts as is all very well, but if has to be consistent.
I wouldn't be happy.

Given the balance of yay and nay posts, it may just be best to make two versions. Just in case someone doesn't like it. I will eventually have enough left over bits for a PA version. For me personally, as long as things don't get out of hand I don't mind as long as I'm told pre-game. It's the in game effects that really matter.

Luckily, the armor on my non-gw RP can really go either way.

OP, don't know your level of modeling skills, but you could true scale the PA version to make it bigger/ more impressive. As for myself in a friendly I want to try him out before I commit, sure no problem playing there, but after awhile or in anything serious problems would start to arise.

I would cry and stomp my feet and go tell my mommy on you for not playing army men right. J/K if it looks cool and you are happy with it then that is all that matters. I can't help but picture a pouting child everytime i read about someone not be "okay" with someone elses use of their toys. God forbid they get overthemselves and use a little imagination.

i wouldn't care what he whats to make/convert. I make many conversions myself, but the issue comes when they start impacting the game with problems. I own an awesome giant-walker, used as a deff dread. When I found it to be a host of problems in game for my opponent and I; I found it better just to leave at home.
