So played my first few games with maddkd the other day. Had some questions. So if you have a company command platoon consisting of 1ic, 2ic and a panzerschrek team, can you join them to another platoon, like panzergrenadiers?

What about tanks, lets say I had a 1ic Tiger 1e, can I attach him to a schwere panzer unit of other tiger 1e?

Is this the right forum for this?

Yes this is the right forum, be welcome

The HQ attachments work like this- You can attach them on a per-phase basis rather than attaching them at the start of the movement phase and there they are stuck for the remainder of the turn (like in WH40k.)

So you could have your HQ sat in command distance of two platoons, and if one has to make a morale check, attach the HQ to that platoon in that phase so they can get the re-roll. (this would be in either yours or the enemy's turn)

If they are not attached but in command distance of another platoon and are shot at then they automatically join the friendly platoon and that unit then becomes the target of the enemy's shots.

So if i were to take a single company HQ tiger i could hide it in a tiger platoon?

Yep, your CiC Tiger could 'join' a Tiger platoon if he wished. Your 2iC can do the same (if you have one).
Having the CiC around is very handy indeed. I once had an opportunity to literally walk onto an objective... With some Reluctant troops. They had to cross open ground in order to get to it, though, so naturally my opponent spotted them and pinned them with artillery fire. I foresaw this, and had my CiC follow them from the beginning.
They failed their motivation test to rally from being pinned down, but they passed the re-roll, so they carried on and won me the game!

I have another question. I am having a hard time finding a late war book that contains jagdpanzers. Anyone know where to go with that?

Dave

There are two lists where they are troops
'Bridge by bridge' and 'earth and steel'

They are also support choices in various lists like 'nuts'

Easyarmy.com has a newer function where you can look up a unit and see every list that includes it as an option.
