I am planning to put some FoW stuff on eBay.

My question is simply whether the Cobra: The Normandy Breakout book is still usable in the current edition.

Thanks!

It is not the most up to date book, but it is still usable and remains tournament legal. So far, Battlefront has not invalidated any army books.

Whilst this is true, there are example where rules don't now work under v3 so you are paying points for things that don't work. Equally Platoon sizes vary, so playing a Jeep Squadron from a "Bridge too Far" is a different size "Market Garden".

I personally, cannot understand why BF do not declare out of date books, invalid. If they aren't invalid and there is nothing wrong with them, why the hell do they update them and change things? I go back and read some of my books like "King and Country" and it's almost unplayable under the latest rules. This is not to say that I don't use older books, I do, I just prefer that me and my opponent are using books from a similar time / the same book.

Could you imagine if someone went to a 6th Edition 40k Tournament and used a 2nd Edition Codex and it was legal? "Yeah that guy has a Vortex Grenade, Terminator Armour and is riding a bike". Crazy.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

All the tournaments I've been too have recently tended to specify the books and PDFS which can be used

Thanks for the info. I pretty much plan to toss the book in as a freebie with the rest of the stuff.
