HI guys,
im a new player and i have a question about the nurgle power rancid visitation,
dont understand how it really works, do you have to pass a test for every miniature in the target unit and apply a wound for every miniature that fails the test? - and keep going till you pass all the checks so no more wounds are inflicted-or you make only one roll ( one die only)for the entire unit and if you dont pass the roll then ONE wound is inflicted and you roll again?

same with cachophonic choir, you roll 2d6 - LD, you take the number that results from the roll without considering if it was a+ or a -? so the closer the roll to the LD number the worst, and the further the most kills...?

Please some help :(
thx guys

For Rancid Visitation:
Use the majority toughness of the target unit, and roll one die. A unit of Marines would have to roll a 4- to pass this, for example. A squad of Plaugebearers (T4) with an attached Nurgle Herald (T5) would have to roll a 4- on one die (since most of the models in the unit have T4). If you pass the roll, stop the tests. If you fail the roll, try again and again until you pass or until the unit dies. If the target is a unit of ten one-wound models, it would take ten failed tests to kill the whole unit.

For Cachophonic Choir.
Let's say I have Ld 7. I roll 2D6 and get 10. 10-7=3, so three wounds. I roll a 7. 7-7=0 so zero wounds. I roll a 3. 3-7=-4. You can't take negative wounds, so this counts as zero wounds.

wow, that makes the power rather silly i think we are way better just taking the primaris with the template.... instead of using a 2 WC power with a 66% chance of doing nothing at best ,
with cachophony and against marines you need to roll like 11- 12 to make 2 casualties.... again mmmnot very good
thank you for the slaaneshi fast reply i guess it was like init 9 answer hihi

Cacophonic Choir has pinning too, so it's great against units that it's already effective against, but bad against the kind of units you've already mentioned. Keep in mind who you're up against when deciding whether to switch it for the Primaris or not.
