Hey there dakka, so the other day I was riding with a buddy in his car, where he listens to NPR almost religiously, and they were talking about how some dude dressed as a cardinal tried to sneak into the conclave with the apparent intent of killing someone in there?
This guy was some Australian dude who made it through several layers of security, only to be found out at the final door, because the Swiss Guards noticed that his robes were too short.
So yeah... anyone hear anything else about this?

I knew that he didn't kill anyone, thinking on it now, at the time I heard it, the radio person did say "believed to be Australian" so it was a fairly preliminary report. I did find it mildly amusing that the reason he was caught prior to completing his goals, was because his robes were too short (but apparently only just short enough that only a real cardinal would notice?)

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

What I mean is I don't think he intended to kill anyone either.
