Ok so a few of the Eldar players know me by now... and I would like some C&C on this mildly fluffy but still oomphy list for a doubles game on the weekend.

The rules for the doubles game are:
2k points per person; single FOC. All armies have a warlord (there will be 2 Slay the Warlord VP's on offer per team). The 2 armies per side count as battle brothers for all purposes but cannot benefit from the warlord traits and cannot join each others units, etc.

The teams have not been set up yet but I will be playing Eldar, there will be a Tau player, a Demons w CSM allies player and the 4th player may be CSM, Necrons or Nids.

My List (using Bel-Annath's FOC from IA11)
HQ
Bel-Annath pyromancy powers or divination powers depending on the team make ups
Wraithseer w D-cannon

Elites
5 Wraithguard w Conceal Spiritseer, Singing Spear

Troops
10 Guardians w Scatterlaser, Warlock w embolden
10 Guardians w EML, Warlock w embolden
10 Dire Avengers, Exarch w Dual Cats and Blade storm

Fast Attack
6 Shadow Spectres, Exarch w Cynosure, Prism Blaster
Nightwing Interceptor

Heavy Support
Wraithlord w EML, Scatterlaser
Wraithlord w EML, Scatterlaser
Firestorm Grav Tank
Warp Hunter

Bel-Annaths FOC allows me to take 4 Heavy Support choices by sacrificing 2 Troops and 1 Elite choice. This army is incredibly shooty; and if I get paired with the Tau player we may have some problems; however I would like some C&C but here are my basic strats:
Warp Hunter melts TEQ and MC's with help from the Spectres S10 AP2 ghostlight and possibly the Seer's D-cannon. Bel bunkers in with the wraithguard and shambles along with support fire from the guardians who OBJ camp in cover. The Wraithlords usually buddy-buddy it up with the seer and the 3 MC's roll around the field punching stuff to death. The Fire Storm provides a highly mobile AA platform, and the nightwing gives me a presence in the air. Anyway, thats the plan.

The 1500 point version of this list (minus the Avengers, Storm and Nightwing) usually baffles people due to threat saturation - the Wraith seer, Lords, Hunter, Spectres, Farseer, etc. I am hoping the squishier elements (my guardians and avengers) will largely be ignored as usual so they can get within range to mince my opponents. Not to mention that versus Nids potentially; bladestorm hurts!

So far the effectiveness of 10 Wraithblades with Ghost Axes:
Tanked 2 Leman Russ squadrons (including the battle cannons and the triple plasma variant); whilst also getting wailed on by everything imaginable in a Fortress of Redemption. Only to get into CC with the tanks and open them up.
2000 points worth of Necrons with Forgeworld additions. Got into CC with a court of Lords and opened them up.
Killed a GUO.
Killed Angrath the Gargantuan Bloodthirster in an Apoc game (with the help of Iranna the Spirit Seer).
Ate a Hammerhead, pathfinders and scored after 3 turns of walking towards a 2000 point Tau gunline and overwatch!
And counting............

Personally, avengers just dont cut it. I have awful luck with them on foot. Even in a serpent, weight of dice just don't do it for me. They die just as fast as guardians to heavy fire, but lack the range. Maybe they work for you, but I would opt for more guardians or wraithguard.

Otherwise, looks solid. Can the firestorm shoot normally at ground targets?

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

I'm 99% sure that it can shoot at ground targets; however if it shoots in my turn it can't interceptor the following turn. So my plan is to flat it out for a 4+ jink and then interceptor anything that rocks up T2, flat out my T2, interceptor anything on T3.

Also the avengers were because I had the points and I find that the squishier short range shooty troops get ignored more because of the bigger nastier targets out there that refuse to die (namely the hunter, specters, wraithlords/seer, etc). I know that they will probably die once they're close enough to bladestorm the crap out of something.

I did roll them in 1 game and successfully used them versus a friends grot rebel army. They bladestorm'd a full squadron of grot tanks and glanced the squadron to death (AV10 vs S4 x 32 shots om nom nom); and then had the LOL of my life when a couple of turns later I blade stormed his grots/big mek unit and found I was wounding on 2's and ID the green buggers. In games versus more competitive armies I find them to be a good support, distraction, OBJ sitter or a half decent shooty barrage before we die unit.

Ok - so I now know it will be myself + the Tau player vs Demons (possible CSM allies) and the 4th mystery army (she can easily field 2k worth of CSM/Nids/Necrons/Orks).

If I were to drop the Avengers; what would you suggest I replace them with? I have the following models:
Full Harlie squad
5 Man spider squad
2 Wave Serpents
10 Howling banshees (LOL)
... not a lot more. Wow I thought I had more Eldar. There's a bunch of "to be assembled and coated" stuff that I need to dig out but that requires cleaning the man-cave.
