Not sure if this is really the right place, but I thought I'd give a mention to a great little Sci-Fi RPG I've been playing on Facebook called Galaxy Legion. The basic premise of the game is that you are the captain of a ship exploring the universe, completing missions, killing NPCs and battling with other players in order to gain XP and cash with which to improve and expand your spacecraft. The game engine is really simple but it's proving to be quite addictive, and seems to have a pretty dedicated following. Anyone who fancies checking it out can do so here:

Seriously, what is your fething problem? This is a website dedicated towards a science fiction table-top wargame. It is not unreasonable to assume that some people might be interested in an online science fiction wargame. In any case, if you're not remotely interested why on earth would you post in this thread?

I might create a Facebook account as a lot of my friends use that to stay in touch and I think I need to modernize, but I do like D&D a lot and my DM moved out of Kamloops 2 years ago so this might be able to fill my RPG craving.

The game is around 10X more enjoyable if you actually join a legion - that way you can do, like, joint missions and raids, plus the more experienced players can help you out with cash and artifacts. It's not super-involved, but it's a fun little time-waster. It's not really a substitute for pen-and-paper roleplaying, though.

I just got started, seems pretty neat. Cheers for posting.

Yeah, I'm in one called Galactic Science. Not sure what the minimum rank they accept is, mind. I think the lowest is Rank 5 at present, so that seems like a good yardstick. My name's not Albatross on there. I'm Rank 31 and my name begins with an R - I have the Vygoid picture as my avatar. It's not up to me whether they accept you, but I'm sure they will - they seem to be pretty good about bringing new players (like me, for example) through. One of their officers gave me like, 500,000,000 credits just to get me started when I joined!

Interesting game, shades of MOO but with a twist.

Hi, I've just come across this site/post and I'd like to share why I think Galaxy Legion (GL) is a good game, and why you should play it. I've been a player for about two years now, and I'd consider myself a semi-veteran player. I liek the game because it's mostly free to play, fun, interesting, engaging, and imaginative. I've met quite a few friends on the game, and it's not your usual Facebook game. It's not designed/developed/maintained by some big-ass company whose sole interest is your money, but instead one guy who is simply sharing his love for Sci-Fi.

It doesn't directly encourage you to play with some cumulative bonus kinda thing (like the money-grabbing games do), and it has zero-notifications/requests on Facebook. You can play when you want and how you want. There are missions, PvP, and NPCs. You can chose one (not recommended) or a mix of them all. Personally, I'm more of an NPC guy, but my PvP stats aren't half bad. If you love Sci-Fi, or even just strategy, then you should really check the game out. I will warn you though, it can be seriously addictive when you get into the swing of things, so you should be careful.

I do apologize for necroing (not sure whether this was posted in March or July. If March, then I'm terribly sorry! (EDIT: Yeah, the pop-up says March. :O ) ) a thread, but I really do want to express my opinion because it's a fantastic game.
