Ok. I think ive settled on a list, ive been posting a few armies ive been considering but this one seems strongest to me, let me know what you think. thanks
Kommandant Irusk
Behemoth
Great Bears of Gallowswood
Iron Fang Pikemen (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Iron Fang Pikemen Officer & Standard
Widowmakers (Leader and 3 Grunts)
Winter Guard Infantry (Leader and 9 Grunts)
Winter Guard Infantry Officer & Standard
2 Winter Guard Infantry Rocketeers
Manhunter
Capitalizing on pIrusks feat I chose a more infantry heavy army with some great melee, short range, and long range capabilities. Everything being taken is sturdy and can dish out pain. I idea here is Durability with range support, and the manhunter just throwing in some flanking options.
IFP will capitalize on Irusks feat as well as their mini feat allowing them to get up the board faster to tie up opponent that gets in the way/ protect my ranged. while the rest of the army gets into position, laying down some firepower. Great Bears are backing up Irusk/counter charging appropriately.
Thoughts?

Seems solid to me. Probably a stupid question, but based on your comment you seem to be using the regular UA instead of the black dragons. Just asking for clarity as I've never tried IFP (the pricetag ($) is steep, and my first of the higher pricetag units is going to be bane knights). The only suggestion I would make is to cut two points (my gut feeling would be either the manhunter or rocketeers) and throw Kovnik Joe in the list unless he's in another list

Yea seriously, if your going to run the WGDS you need Uncle Joe. for two points you get +3 strength, Fearless and tough, or boosted attack roles on a stick....... He is worth more to you than the Man Hunter.

ah yes, i meant to put joe in there, just overlooked detail. i would most def drop the manhunter for him.
as for using the regular IFP ua, my idea was since Irusk is offering them pretty solid survivability the black dragon would be a bit more redundant and also with the regular mini feat offering a larger threat range. i liked the versatility the regular IFP brought as far was movement. Automatically Appended Next Post: If i could id love to bring Spriggan and some other jack to the table with a warcaster that offers good support to the army rather than being selfish with focus.
what im trying to go for is a list with 2 jacks, WGDS, Widowmakers, Greatbears and some solo ranged. maybe something like this?
Forward Kommander Sorscha
Kodiak
Spriggan
Great Bears of Gallowswood
Widowmakers (Leader and 3 Grunts)
Winter Guard Infantry (Leader and 9 Grunts)
Winter Guard Infantry Officer & Standard
2 Winter Guard Infantry Rocketeers
Kovnik Jozef Grigorovich
Manhunter
I would prob want to replace the manhunter with either a Marksman or Kell Bailoch. which brings up my next question. if having to choose between Kell's magic weapon or the Marksmen "Swift Hunter" what is your opinion?

Winter Guard
|
Marksman against higher infantry lists and shooty lists.
Kell for Menoth, Cryx or for crippling jacks a bit fast.
I personally like the marksman.
