Enginseer with a Wrench

I prefer to field models that I think look cool, in variety...BUT any input is appreciated. I'm currently assembling some Longfangs, but I won't be able to field them yet.
I was foot slogging but I found it to be frustrating to get into range.
Rune Priest

Dreadnought

Lucius Pattern Drop Pod
Land Speeder Typhoon

Land Speeder Typhoon
-Typhoon/Heavy Bolter
Aegis Defense Line
-Quad Gun
Dreadnought and Melta squad drop first turn to destroy the largest vehicle threats(or plasma if it's infantry). Dread can assault first turn due to Lucius. Rune Priest is with the WG riding in the Crusader right to mid field and take up positions. Small Hunter squad mans the Quad Gun/Guard objectives if possible. Land Speeders support from range. When the third pod comes down I just put the squad wherever it can help the most/Claim.
Any input? Thanks guys.

You'll get more missile shots from a single squad of Long Fangs than from 2 Typhoon Land Speeders and it will cost less too.
I don't think that the WG terminiators are going to be as effective as they should be for the points that they cost. IMHO, you're better off taking another GH squad, or a big unit of Blood Claws to go in the Crusader.

Personally i avoid land raiders, their way to big a bullet magnet for me and way to much stuff can get lucky on turn one and pop the thing. You might consider Deep Striking with a teleport beacon or taking a flying land raider (not sure if space wolves can take a Raven though). May consider dropping the terminator armor all together sticking them in a drop pod and picking up another squad in a pod to go with it. if you deploy a bare minimum on the first turn and roll everything else as normal reserves you force the opponent to either take up a defensive posture, drive down the middle at your Aegis, or fight you on the objectives, none of which are a great way to deal with wolves.

Actually, almost nothing has a good chance of getting lucky and popping it turn 1. A single Lascannon shot has less than a 5% chance of destroying a land raider, that only goes up to 8% if it's twin linked. If you want to be sure to destroy a Land Raider, you MUST use melta. It's the only weapon that has better than a 10% chance. In fact, a single melta shot from a BS4 model within 1/2 range still only has a 45% chance of destroying a land raider. That's a really good chance, but it still only a coin toss. Really you need about 3 melta shots to be sure to destroy a Land Raider.
So I really with the hypothesis that "Land Raiders are too easy to destroy for a 250 point model."
Also, Space Wolves cannot teleport and they cannot have a Storm Raven.

I wouldn't take the land speeders, i would take long fangs. I would also drop the Wolf Guard at 1500, As a replacement i would take a nice squad of Grey Hunters with a wolf lord(with upgrades), it would come to the same points and give you more flex if less endurence.
