Hey all!

I'm a proud ultramarines player, but lately I've been pitting my Space Marines against my Necrons and I'm not seeing what exactly I would consider competitive. I was hoping that some of you other players out there could help me get some ideas on how to make my Space Marines as competitively as they possibly could be. Thanks!

I thought that was just rule disputes.

Then general discussion could be fine. Either way this particular forum is meant for army lists, not poles.

This is more of a tactics or general discussion thing, Certainly not YMDC, and probably not army lists.

Post an army list however, and we can help sort through it

Bedouin Dynasty: 10000 pts
The Silver Lances: 4000 pts
The Custodes Winter Watch 4000 pts

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum.

When fighting necrons bring stormtalons, heavy flamers, and assault terminators. Necrons are almost impossible to shoot to death at range with a competitive opponent so your best option is often to either lay down mass flamers or assault the piss out of them.

OR, you could do mass troops deep striking with a vulkan-based list.
