I've finally worked out my list and can concentrate on acquiring the models. My next purchase needs to be a rhino. For this I plan on magnetizing a Predator as I may play test it with one rhino and one pred. Anyway, I really dig the Deimos pattern, but wonder how easy it would be to convert it to a rhino. I've never purchased FW before so I'm really not sure what all comes in the kits.

given how massively overpriced the GW Predator kit is (seriously, it's more expensive than a Leman Russ), I'd recommend the FW one. It's not that much more expensive, and, generally, they come with the entire kit they're based off of. Assuming that's the case with FW's predator (I honestly don't know, looks like it, but I can't be certain) you'll get most of a rhino out of in extra plastic bits, and for a couple bucks can get the rest of the bits off of ebay.

In theory, you can get both vehicles for about $10-20 less than buying from GW by using the bits FW supplies.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

From what I can tell from the videos I've been watching, you're right. Converting it to a Rhino wouldn't be too hard. Cutting a round top hatch from plasticard to cover up the hole under the turret is all it would take IMO.

In this case the FW kit is just an aesthetic upgrade, the rules for them are exactly the same. If you're playing with people who have a problem with that then you need to find better friends.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
