New to warhammer 40k miniatures so this is going to be a noob question to some, but are these chosen or CSM? and what weapon is the midde guy holding? to the left of the guy with the power fist.

Chosen and CSM don't really have modelling differences. Chosen are just cool CSM, so have more bling.

The dude in the middle has a tau plasma rifle, probably to 'counts-as' a plasma gun.

As above says there really isnt much difference between the two. I would use these as a regular squad of marines though as they lack "bling" for chosen.

The weapon is a tau gun though it would make good use if these marines had the mark of slaanesh

looking at the pic at full size, you can see that the squad is armed with 4 plasma guns...
i believe that would make them chosen, as only the veteran squads can take that many special weapons...
of course, you could drop two of those weapons and use the squad as normal guys, since the modeling is pretty basic...

cheers

The models themselves are standard CSM but equipped to be Chosen with the four plasma guns. The only Chosen miniatures released so far to my knowledge are the ones from Dark Vengeance.
