I've looked at a couple of other guides but they're all green or blue glowing eyes. They usually use a dark colour, then a lighter colour and then skull white. What red colours do you think I should use for the dark red and light red? maybe even orange?

Exactly. Go from dark red to light red to orange, and maybe up to yellow depending on how far you want to go.

My Space wolves are dark grey blue, the eyes I would pick would be ice blue
I've got a red army starting, and the eyes will probably be what you're doing: Red to orange to yellow.

Color is just a preference, usually dependent on the color scheme. Bang out some red and it'll be fine.

It's mostly in the blending as well, do a few practice runs on something before you try it out on your models.
