Hello!
Whats your opinion on only using DC bits and painting them up as regular ASM? Do you think anyone would refuse a game solely based on this?
Apart for having to file off the DC iconography I'm only seeing positive things with this, more dynamic models, extra bits, more details etc.

Opinion?

I mixed ASM and DC bits and was never refused a game. I dont see a problem with it as long as they are not painted black.

In the BA codex painting section, some of the regular assault marines clearly use DC parts.

+ you get some BA iconography on your assault marines.

Go for it.

WYSIWYG dosent say anything about colors only equipment, so if you like the poes's then hell ayh use them if you like the BA iconagrphy then use it. if you tell you opp that "this is ASM(assult space marine right i dont requnize that short) then that is what it is, if you say this is my death company then that is you're death company i have never known some one to be so anal that they got mad about color schemes, now for sanitys sake i would color DC differently then the rest to help prevent confusion but as i see it WYSIWYG is only about modles and equipment.

i know weird combo just run with it

I think that will make your ASM look really badass.

Just make sure that your opponent can tell them apart really easily, if you field the actual DC.

I've used DC bits for my Vanilla Marine Sternguard, cutting away the BA iconography.

I am currently taking commissions.

I mix and match them. 1 box assault marines and 1 box DC will make a nice 10 man squad.

Not smart enough for witty signatures

Mix and match is the way to go. Half the DC box does not have Death Company markings on them.

I don't even use the DC box for actual DC. It is better for veterans, sgts, and characters IMO.

Sounds like everyone would be cool with this!
Anyone with experience regarding if its too much bling with just DC parts? Maybe as suggested 1 box DC mixed with 1 box ASM is the better way to go?
