This has been bothering me for a while and I can't seem to find the answer.

The question I have is, what are the eldar gods? Are the actually real or just eldar beliefs?
Also, if they are real are they warp entities or more like the Empra or c'tan where they are god outside of the warp?

I really can't find out anywhere so a source as to how you know would be appreciated too.

Thanks in advance for any info you can spare.

Did you know? Every sunday from 12 to 5 pm you can get a carvery for £6.95 at the pudding and pye.

A far as I know the Eldar gods are warp entities in the sane sense as the Chaos gods. Slaanesh is actually an Eldar god, born from their decadence and self indulgence, which implies that their other gods are/were similar. Khaine seme to require blood sacrifice to invoke now, so I think his warp presence is weak, but I think I remember reading that the Laughing God was hiding somewhere in the webways.

I thought the Eldar gods where a racial memerory of the Old Ones or at least the first memembers of the Eldar race who personally interacted with the old ones . The C'tan feature in Eldar myth alongside their own gods which makes me think their own gods where in some way "real" rather than unseen warp entities.

My own (totally unsupported) theory is that Old Ones and the Eldar Gods are one and the same. They started as physical beings but over time evolved into pure warp entities.

The eldar gods were warp entities, before Slaanesh got most of them.

The Avatar of Khaine is a physical manifestation of the defeated, shattered, god.
Cegorach - the laughing god, is supposed to be lurking in the web way.
Isha is in the garden of nurgle.

The rest got tentacle raped by Slaanesh.

Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.

When slannesh was born he destroyed most of the eldar gods. Khaine was shattered and the avatar is just a piece of the god

But yes they were real warp entities.

The Eldar Gods used to walk among the people, then Khaine decided he quite liked to kill his own people, so the chief God locked them away on another plane, meaning they couldn't directly interact with their people anymore.
So basically, they were physical beings as well as gods like the Chaos Gods.

It could be that they were in fact the first Eldar created by the Old Ones - now mythologised (not sure thats a word?) and either who then became warp entities or the worship created / "Fixed" them in place in the Warp?

The Eldar Gods are racial deities; warp gods created by the psyches of a single warp-sensitive species. Another good example of racial gods would be Gork and Mork.

The Chaos Gods are warp gods that feed off the psyches of all warp-sensitive creatures, regardless of species.
