On page 16 of the BRB it says,

"When a.W'ound (or unsaved'Wound) is allocated to one of your
characters, and there is another model from the same unit within
6", he's allowed a look Out, Sir attempt. This represents the
character ducking back further into the unit, holding a comrade in
the line of fi.re, or being pushed aside by a selfless ally. If no model
is in range, then you cannot make a look Out, Sir attempt."

Does this mean that if your HQ (toughness 3, AS 5+) get hits by a multilaz (Str: 6, AP -) now if you decide to take the armor save and fail, thats ID for your HQ, now that being said since the book also said you may make a LOS test against an unsaved wound (which the book indirectly states it as a wound in which a save failed, pg. 15), does that mean I can roll an armor save then if I fail can make a LOS roll after?

Read the FAQs. That text isn't relevant anymore.

In short - no, if you roll the armor save it's too late to LoS.

Per the original Look Out Sir the roll for it happened at allocation. The unsaved wound portion would only kick in on same save units as the wounds are allocated to the character. Due to complete confusion on people's part they simply changed it so all the units with characters were forced to use the mixed save method.

ADD causes my posts to ramble from time to time. Please bear with me.

You're not a Time Lord stick with linear time.
