today i have to ask the great think tank of dakka dakka to help me with a quest...

could someone show me a good comparrision shot of all the available tracks of games workshop tracks for their different lines of tanks?

this information is needed for me as i have obtained two sets of the rhino tank tracks system... and now i want to make up my mind as to what kind of trackshoes i could use for these...

would leman russ tracks fit to the rhono bitz? would landraider bitz look wonky?


help me out of this pale valley of misery^^

it's not about the width, but about the height. Rhino tracks are pretty flat, whereas the IG tanks have raised edges. Memory says they have the same width, but if you put the SM ones onto the IG tanks, it just won't look right at all. I think I experimented with this once, and I think the rhino tracks fit flush with the hull on the leman russ, and the leman russ ones don't fit onto the rhino without some shaving off of the edges on the tracks...

well... to be honest poda_t, i atm only have leman russ tracks ... but i also ask this as i want to scratchbuild mine now...

thanks to you i have now the needed info about the "diferent" width... or rather not different...

i was thinking maybe to make a bit wider tracks for the rhino tracks... you think this might look good? converting is no trouble... i am more concerned for the convincing look...
