Hello all!

I recently started a inquisimunda warband and wanted to start this blog to help me keep track of the gang and the miscellaneous models that will inevitably popup.

For starters i got The men of the Mar, the warband of the puritan ordo herticus inquisitor Mithras of Mar.

Mithras himself

His sneaky acolyte

His old hunting dog

His flamer servitor

And least his cherub

And a group shoot

C/C?

It's from the Empire General Kit I believe.

As for your warband, they really have some character! I think Mithras could be brought slightly further into the 40k universe a bit, he seems too much like the base miniature at the moment. In saying that though, that is one sexy base model. I have never considered using it, and I can't quite understand why now.. haha!

The Hunting dog is something else though. As I looked at the different angle shots I was kind of mildly impressed. Part robot dogs are cool. But when i saw the chainsaw jaw (chainjaw?) I flipped my gak. It's so cool! I love the boiler plate in his stomach too, very nice touch!

The other miniatures, are nice, I think the flame servitor could do with maybe some organic parts, just to denote it as definitely a human, and not a floating weapon!

I really like the dog with the chainsaw mouth. He can open his own tins of food I guess.

I think possibly your Inquisitor could use a few more changes to make him different from the stock model.

I agree the inquisitor is not quite 40k enough

Thank you all for the kind words. I have the same feeling about Mithras but i cant come up with any ideas on what to do, any suggestions?

And now for a new arrival to the gang. Meet Rivas an ex-arbites judge recruited by Mithras for his cool head and his strong arm.

That is fantastic. Literally fantastic. I might have to steal that idea in fact!

The warband is shaping up nicely. Would you mind listing the parts you used on Rivas? I don't want to steal the whole concept but I do like all of the parts you have used on him and I would like to use several of them on some of my own conversions, especially the arms, legs and shotgun if you don't mind.

Thank you. The body and the shotgun is from one of the cultist leaders in the dark vengeance set with a bit of flak armor slotted in. his head is from the one of the ig command squads. The shock maul is from a grey knight force hammer. The arm holding the shock maul is from the empire militia kit. The shield is from the men at arms kit. The shoulder pads are from the kroot kit.
Good luck in your converting endeavors!
