Ok so I was just wondering but what would I be using more on the table? I've started warmachine but I need more units so I was wondering on my first armoured unit (after the squire and gun mages and black 13th) which of the two should I buy?

I currently have:

-The Cygnar battlebox

-Stormclad

-Adept gun mage

So I was wondering but what would be of most use to me for my next purchase or What would I be using on the table more?

Stormblades, a free focus for your Stormclad is always nice. And if you have it Jack Marshaled by a Stormblade officer it effectivly has 2 free points of Focus(but can't be given any by your Warcaster)

Any tactics for thye stormblades? I dont know anything about the unit so any stats or how they play on the battlefirld would be really usefull

The stormblades are a "core" unit for cygnar. while tricky to use, they can hit very hard with assault (from the UA) and work very well with the stormclad, which is arguably the best heavy for cygnar.

Stormguard have a more limited role as defensive troopers with reach and ranked attacks (other units can see through thme). They can still hit pretty hard, but with no assault and no WAs, they are better for thinks guys with reach are good at, like clogging charge lanes and tying up heavies. Though, Stormguard do have electroleap and combined melee attack.

A unit of Stormblades with UA and marshalling a Stormclad make an effective self-sufficient flanking block that hits pretty hard.

If you have the battle box I assume you're running pStryker. His Arcane armor is pretty nice on Stormblades as it bumps their armor up enough to basically make them immune to blast damage and very resistant to lesser attacks. The new plastic Stormblade box has all 3 storm gunners, which is nice. They do fun things when combined with the UA and the buff from their regular unit leader.

I think Stormguards are cooler, but Stormblades are honestly just better

I think I would only use Stormguards in Nemo lists or so

Ok thanks for the help, just wondering but what units can kill Storm blades at an accelerating speed, as in can kill the majority of the unit within 1-2 turns? and what to counter these with?

Oh... You know... Just about everything in every army

The point of Infantry in this game is to more or less stand infront of stronger models

Best way to make these guys live longer is by putting other Infantry infront of them!

Warmachine is all about getting in the first blow, or absorbing it.

There are plenty of single models that can tear up an entire unit of infantry in one round for more or less no real danger.
