heyy everyone im just trying to make a pretty solid competitive chaos space marine khorne army
so for now imma start at 1500pt so let me know what you guys think and if any changes i should make

Here is the huge problem you will face... Alot of your stuff will run away when shot at. That is not competitive nore very fluffy. Your two best units are the Lord and Spawn, the CSMs, and Hellturkeys.

Fine...very solid. I also understand why you put him with the Spawn (movement). I will touch on this later when I touch on the Spawn.

Not a bad unit, though the points are wrong. I am assuming your expecting your Rhino is going to blown up, because assaulting from it is pointless. Your really set up for CC but that makes me question why they are not Berzerkers or in a LR. If your looking for a fluffy Melta Squad, do the free upgrade for the Champ and non-melta gun guys to ditch thier Bolters. With my math, this is 240pts with a bare Rhino, 10x MoK, 2x Meltas, and IoV. Or for 145pts, You can have 5 marines, a Melta, and a Rhino with a combi-Melta all with MoK (for fluff). But for melee guys who are Fearless, why not Zerkers since they are troops? Also a lone rhino charging forward is asking for death from the shorter ranged weapons while the long ranged ones tear apart your Lord or rear forces.

One unit for a rear objective camper is all you need, maybe with a Flamer and that Squad can be 15 guys. For 30pts, you can give them all MoK to keep with the theme. Again...why no Zerkers?

While this isn't terrible, they can get doubled out with Str 10 weapons and are nothing but bullet stoppers. I can see this working but I would rather have a Bike unit that is arguably tougher and can do more damage for less points. It also gives you a Champ to run with your Lord that can suck up unfavorable match-ups and allow your Lord to tear up the squad. Giving them Melta guns and a Icon of Wrath gives your Lord a slew of additional abilities and ranged killing potential. Maybe giving the Champ a PF to kill MCs (or at least Melta Bombs) gives you MC and Vehicle CC options. Adding Bikers to this unit just makes it better and more durable.

The top two will run when they take return fire and the Oblits will last alittle longer but thier firepower is inconsistant. All of them need VotLW and Icon of Vengence for the Havocs. As you probably found out, that is alot of points. So you made glass cannons instead and hope the enemy is either firing on other units which gives them enough time to get some shots off... or you make that Ld check. For a good tourney list you have to expect the worse... that your facing two squads of Longfangs that can fire on 4 units alone or IG that might literally have more LCs than you have power armored troops. We have two choices really... make them better by sinking more points into them or replace them with something that will not run away (and cheaper). You can have 3 Preds with LC sponsons giving you 6 AC shots and 6 LC shots every turn for 115pts each, or 9 LC shots (3 TLed) for 140pts each.

Let me make you an example of what I mean, using your list as the base...

How does this list grab you? The troops are more disposible, but you have more of them and they are attacking in a attempt to overwhelm your opponent with your armor and bikes while your Preds give you covering fire. If you go up points, make your troops better with more of them (x10 with 2 Melta, free swap of bolters for CCW on the 7, and IoV is the ideal for what you want to do with them).

Hello Ofernandez,
I think your list is okay, could do with a little work regarding the troops, just to even things out a little and then have a cheap unit for sitting on an objective.
The havocs and oblits are solid enough fire support IMO; I tend to run a predator with two units of havocs - or that is what is working for me at the moment - it gives me a little bit of movement to target things hiding; and the pred can shield the havocs.
I would consider spliting the troop units up as BlkTom suggests but would be wary about having so many small units. You could always buy the havocs a rhino and stuff a small unit of cultists into it to snaffle unguarded objectives or flame from the hatch. If you pop a havoc launcher on the cultists' rhino then even if you have the havocs in good cover you can always use it as a mobile screen to control the LOS to and from the havocs.

Personally I would stick with the spawn, better in close combat, the model is as awesome as you want to make it; and the bike models are awkward things (my opinion don't shoot). Which reminds me, check out the HiTech Terroriser models if you have not already got your obliterators.

At the end of the day if the two heldrakes come on early and you are agressive with them then it'll be quite competitive.
