Hey all myself and a friend were playing today and some questions came up, since we are both still learning I thought I'd ask here to clarify.

My friend had the Fortress of Redemption and had put his shas'o in the bunker under the las cannon and had Eldrad in the bunker under the missile silo.

First question can guys inside fire the weapons and if so does that mean the silo is always indirect since you can't see anything over the walls of the battlements?

Second question when indirect firing if you score a hit does it stay there or does it scatter the little arrow but you subtract your BS skill? The wording for this seems kinda wonky, Pg.34 When firing indirectly the BS skill is not subtracted unless a hit is rolled. Which to me says that you minus BS on a hit. However the picture below shows a hit and it does not move at all.

We played it as it's a hit that does not scatter and good god did it destroy my marines, my friend was super lucky getting hits every turn dropping str 8 ap 3 on me, with Eldrad using divination to cast the re rolls and ignore cover powers.

This seems absurdly powerful, it didn't help that my 3 meltas that hit all rolled snake eyes for their pen rolls.

If you can clarify this with faqs or page numbers that I may have missed would be appreciated, thanks a lot.

Yes, they are Emplaced Weapons, and accordingly can ONLY be manually fired by a model inside the structure, note this is different to the "gun emplacement" options available to other fortifications.

It will use True Line of Sight like any other weapon, generally you will be correct, although in theory a particularly large model could possibly be visible to it.

You are putting the "unless a hit" bit with the wrong part of the sentence, they are saying "unless a hit is rolled on the scatter dice, the blast marker always scatters a full 2d6"

a Hit is still a Hit and acts the same as a Hit under the blast rules does.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).
