Okay, so I leave for the Basic Training (Army) on April 22, but before i go I want to paint my Brit's. I want to paint about 2,000 points, which I think is feasible with the amount of free time I have at this point but even If I don't complete it, it will occupy my time up until my leave date.

SO, I have a large amount of Brit's assembled to the tune of:
About 10-12 Command Teams
25 or so Infantry bases
15x Shermans
4x Firefly's
4x Sniper Teams
4x Scout Cars
4x 25 PDR's
4x 17 PDR's
4x 5.5's
3x Typhoons

and the US Paratroopers from the Open Fire box set.

So I want to build a Semi-competitive list, with a little of everything, that won't be a complete bear to paint, I want it to be a late-war list, that can hack it against Tigers, Panzers, and Pak's.
So if you guys could help me with a list, I plan to start a Painting Blog full of pictures in the Painting section as soon as I have a list.

My thought would be the new canadian infantry list from 'market garden'

something like

HQ
2 Squads of 3 section infantry (one upgraded to SMG's)
4 25 pdrs
2 bl 5.5's
2 armoured platoons (2 shermans and 2 fireflies in each)
pioneer platoon

1750 on the nose, and your normal infantry can double up as the pioneers, and your shermans can smoke for you
to expand to 2K

add in a plane and some universal carrier recon
