Hi all im only 2 weeks away from TofS's I am very happy with my list it seems to be beating every thing and beating them well. But before i get to cocky could you have a watch and let me know if 1 you think you could beat it and if so how and what tips you could give me. Thanks.

I dont know about unbeatable, but its certainly interesting. There are some things id be concerned about. As you mention in the video, its quite all or nothing. You are very light on troops, which would be my concern. Having said that, it has a lot of MC's that can be in the enemies face by turn 2.

That's an interesting list but I reckon my list is slightly better:

Flying Hive Tyrant /w 2 T-L devourers

Doom of Malan'tai in mycetic spore
3x Hive Guard
3x Hive Guard

Tervigon /w 3 Biomany powers, toxin sacks
Tervigon /w 3 Biomany powers, toxin sacks
20x Termagaunts
20x Termagaunts

Trygon /w toxin sacks


You will control skies with extra Hive tyrant.
Neither of dooms will do much in these games since most of your army and my army are LD10 (including gaunts). In case it annoys me I can remove it with 12 shots from Hive Guard since 12x0.66667=8 then 8x0.16667= 1.3 so that's 6-7 wounds on average and 6x0.666666667=4 and that's 2 failed saves causing instant death.
I could also go after this lone Hive Guard for first blood with my hive guard.
I have stronger troop choice area with a lot more bodies with toxin sacks and LD10 as long they are near tervigons, Tervis can also sit on objective and support rest of my army with Enfeeble or Endurance if they get it. Genestealers aren't really threatning to me and gaunts in number wouldn't have trouble stalling or even taking down your MCs since 1 squad is 40 poisoned attacks ( They took down Swarmlord, Avatar of Khaine and even squad consisting of Kaldor Draigo, 5 Paladins and Librarian) altough last one took bit more gaunts.Neither of us will probably be using any psychic powers after 1st turn due to Shadow in the Warp.

Currently my list is doing very well, I played about 25-27 games with it and lost only once to CSM.

If im honest the lists and quite close the big thing is i can always 100% get first blood if i go first very few if any can deal with 24 tl s6 hits and if i go first your tyrants dead before he leaves the ground . that first blood and slay the warlord turn 1. very good point with the 1 hiveG. i split the 2 and the 1 to to give flexibilty but maybe would be better in the 3. 3 powers on the Terv ? bit of a waste 2 max.

On your first point, on average you shouldn't be able to kill my Hive Tyrant on First turn since 24x0.75=18 then 18x0.5= 9 then 9x0.6666667=6 saves passed out of 9 so I still have 1 wound left, and if im really worried about this I can DS my Tyrant. 3 powers on tervigon may be a waste in this case because of Shadow in the Warp, but It is vital for my tervigons to get either endurance or enfeeble or both to give me more flexability. So i agree that Flyrants would be big problem for me but i do compensate in other areas.

I must be lucky on the roles nothing ive ever targeted with to 2 flyrants has ever got even close to saving them self. lol

It is a solid list. Even more so with that revision. But I have beaten a list almost just like with my Wolves.

Also synapse only gives fearless. It doesn't give you better leadership. Although with that much S 8 firepower it really doesnt matter. Although at 1500 if the other guy isnt ready he really doesn't have much of a chance to taking out that kind of stuff fast enough.

I prefer the other list posted looks more solid. Although double flyrant will win against an unprepared or poor opponent in a tournament you may well struggle there's plenty of things that can survive 24 S6 shots. Many lists only present AV13+ or units > 30 so you're FB claim may seem a little optimistic. In a tournament you may find that a list that is essentially 4 models comes unstuck as it only takes a bit of bad luck to cost you the game. Also flyer heavy armies, Grey Knights and armies that can outmatch your MCs will really cause you problems.

Have you been to any throne of skulls tournaments before, or had any success in them? Just curious.

No it's my first GW comp so I don't know exactly what to expect but I have a good idea from a lot of people who have played a lot there.

Yeah, was just wondering - your list seemed remarkably similar to a Tyranid guy who won the whole tournament when I went a couple of years back. I think the only major differences between his list and yours was that he used Ymgarl genestealers, and no doom

Well I hope it does well . I tabled another space wolf army last night so I'm feeling good about it . But even with a strong list you need a bit of luck with your draw and with the rolls.

When gants are near a tervigon they can use it's LD value for ANY test they have to take.
