Well, like the title says, we finally got around to our first game yesterday. Used the quick start rules and the Menoth & Cygnar starter boxes. Took a few hours of stumbling through, but we got it done. Last combat started with both Casters, one of his light jacks (badly beaten) and my Ironclad (light damage). We went straight for the caster battle. I charged him, first hit took about 50% of his damage. second hit connected but only met his armor rating, no damage to be done. Unfortunately he had most of his focus on his caster, and tore mine up. Still was a good game, wrecked metal all over the board.

There was a couple tactical faults...I gave up the opportunity for a second round of shooting from my Charger in favor of getting straight into close combat. I did that to keep things moving forward, more interested in getting a good run through the rules than actually winning. I also missed the part where I can boost both the hit and damage roles of the Chargers gun with a single point of Focus, I was paying 2 points for it.

All in all was a fun game, and we both learned a lot about the game and our factions. Looking forward to the next game for sure.
