Hi all,

I've run out of my only shadow grey pot of paint and I still have so many space wolves models still to paint. I've been using the 'eavy armour mix of 1:1:1 shadow grey/space wolves grey and kommando khaki and I bought sombre grey, wolf grey and khaki from the Vallejo Game Colour range as replacements. The problem is that the sombre grey is nothing like shadow grey. Do any of you know if shadow grey from Coat d'arms is similar/identical to the old Citadel one? If not do any of you have a recipe for mixing up an mixture for my 'eavy mix?

Many thanks in advance for your comments.

Ben

There are tons of shadow grey in my local shop for 0,5 € per pot. Wish I could help you out mate.

Got milk?

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

PM me if you are interested in Commission work.

And where in greece is that local shop? Because i too need Shadow grey (and Commando khaki god i hate that color)

You shouldn't be worried about the one bullet with your name on it, Boldric. You should be worried about the ones labelled "to whom it may concern"-from Blackadder goes Forth!

Well there is both plenty of shadow grey and khaki in this shop... I guess you can call them all first thing tomorrow morning

For grins and giggles, I replaced shadow grey with trollblood base from the P3 range, and I quite like it... was just a test model, though (don't play wolves)

Coat d'Arms was the producer of GW's paints until they stopped, so yes, the Coat d'Arms shadow grey is the same.

I use Shadow Grey as my basecoat for my Space Wolves and so I bought 4 bottles before the new paint range came out. Good to know that Coat d'Arms still makes them.
