Guys, I have a question!
Is it possible to get the Jagged crown from Korvajund without being there with the STormcloaks/the Legion???
If not can you complete the mission and still keep the crown?
For Xbox 360.

The purpose of the quest is to give one of the factions (not necessarily the one your currently aligned with) the crown, so no you can't complete the quest without parting with it. Neither is the crown accessible without the quest being active either (otherwise any old looter could take it and dump in a barrel somewhere to be lost forever). =P

Yeah, the crown only spawns when the quest is started.

The crown is also tagged as a quest item, iirc, so you can't possibly lose it

Something like that I think.

Just start the quest, and wear it until you get sick of it.

It is possible to keep the Jagged Crown. Before completing the quest, reverse pickpocket the crown onto either Ralof or Hadvar, depending on which side you picked. Once you have completed the quest, you can pickpocket it back from Hadvar or Ralof afterwards.

Notes

The Jagged Crown can be worn at the same time as a Dragon Priest Mask or a Circlet. If you want to postpone this quest to keep the crown, there are no repercussions.

Bugs

If the dragon claw door does not work, check here for possible fixes.
If you have both "The Jagged Crown (Stormcloaks)" and "Season Unending" active at the same time, you cannot advance through Season Unending with the crown in your inventory. Once you sit in the chair to negotiate a peace treaty, nothing happens..
Starting "Season Unending" after finishing "Joining the Stormcloaks" would prevent The Jagged Crown from starting properly.
This bug is fixed by version 1.4 of the Official Skyrim Patch.
If the Jagged Crown is in your inventory when you do No One Escapes Cidhna Mine, you do not get the Jagged Crown back.

I'm pretty sure he's had that santa hat on since before I joined Dakka

Anywho, you can't get to the crown before you start the quest - already tried. Follow the pickpocket instructions!
