I've made 2 orders the last month from miniaturemarket.com. Both shipments costed 13-15$ which is quite cheap from USA to Norway.

Has anybody else noticed a drastic change in shipment prices for miniaturemarket.com?

A month ago shipment was quite cheap, now it's minimum 38$ to Norway regardless of order.

I was quite pleased with Miniature Market because they had everything perfect. But now it's quite impossible to justify buying anything from their store.

Are there any other good alternative with cheap shipping to Europe?

USPS raised their international shipping prices :-/ so it's not Miniature Market's fault...

They've always done USPS, but for those of us in the US, we could get free UPS shipping on orders over 100 bucks.

Unless it fits in a bubble envelope it seems to be very very expensive to ship anything back to Europe from the US now. I now tend to avoid US auctions because of it.

So USPS raised their prices?

I made an order of 3 single models each in a blister pack.

Mercenary Orin Midwinter $7.49
Circle of Orboros Blackclad Wayfarer $9.74
Circle of Orboros Druids of Oboros Overseer $8.24
Subtotal $25.47
Shipping & Handling $13.15
Grand Total (Excl.Tax) $38.62

This is cheap shipping and it took less than 2 weeks as well. Making this order today would triple the shipment price from 13.15$ to 38.40$. If I'd known, I'd make a lot more orders last time :(

Odd that, when I had to re-order something I ended up with shipping being steeper than the actual product..

Not that hard with USPS' new rates and the bulk of some of the stuff in this industry.

$38.97 for a book, $44.85 in shipping. It's that I really, really wanted that book for ages now..

USPS double/tripled most of their overseas prices, and then on top of it, added all the options (tracking, insurance, etc) by default, which you can't remove. I used to be able to send <4 lbs to Australia for about $25, now it's $65.

Yeah. Don't blame us. USPS jacked up the rates substantially. They have to since they refuse to engage in other cost cutting endeavors.

So typical. I really enjoyed miniature market as they had a wide variety of stuff as well as low prices and excellent customer support.

Except packages, which will still be delivered on Saturdays.

It's because the US congress is trying to cripple the USPS. Do some googling on what they're required to do. (Have retirement money put aside for theoretical employees that haven't yet been born, etc)
