Painting Within the Lines

Hey all. I made a quick scratch built Defense line for my Tau. Looking for feedback on what else to do with it. I probably need some weathering at least. Might do some battle damage (bullet holes, etc). I plan on using this for my Adepticon display board as well so I added a few Forge World pieces for flavor.

Used some Balsa wood for the walls and floors.

I sized them up based on the actual pieces to the best of my ability.

"Counts as" quad gun. I used a Dixie cup and two Ion cannons. Magnetized for ease of travel.

Some Firewarriors and Forge World models added to complete the scene.

Feedback appreciated!

Very neat idea.

I would of liked to see missile pods instead of Ion cannons for the quad.

Looks great, but I think a bit of weathering would just finish it off, IMO.

Great job. Tau simplicity with clean lines. I wish more races would this. I'm tired of fighting on Imperial worlds. Keep it up.

Looks pretty sweet. I wonder if you could achieve the same result with a piece of trim? I kind of thought the smooth lines some trim has would look good with the whole Tau vision. Good work.
