The Emperor's Ball III Warhammer 40,000 Grand Tournament, 8-9 June 2013

Our annual grand tournament will feature a four-round 1700-pt tournament on the first day for all competitors. The second day will see the top 8 players from day one competing in a three round tournament for the right to call themselves the Emperor's Champion! The remainder of the field and any others wishing to attend may participate in a 5-round, 400-pt Combat Patrol tournament on the second day.

Player's packet and more information will be available upon request as the date nears. Entry: $30 Pre-Registered (before June), $35 day of event; Combat Patrol: $5 for GT registrants; $15 for non-GT registrants.

The Loot
• Entry fees fund prize support. Additional corporate support is expected.
• Awards will be offered for the Grand Tournament independently in the categories of generalship, painting and modeling, and sportsmanship. Player can earn up to three awards (one in each category), but only one prize; each category will have awards for 1st-3rd places (1st place Generalship is guaranteed, all other place awards will depend upon participation). If multiple awards are won, the prize of greatest value will be provided to the winner while other prizes will be allocated to lower placing individuals, according to their placement. Other prizes, including Best Table, may be offered depending upon participation. Prizes will be awarded in store credit unless otherwise noted.
• Generalship scores will reflect cumulative game scores for each tournament round with the addition of Assassination points.
• Painting and Modeling scores will be allocated by popular vote.
• Sportsmanship scores will be determined by each player’s opponents.
• Any penalty occurred during game play will be included in the player’s cumulative score in the appropriate category and may affect that player’s final standings.

Generalship 2nd Place: $150.00 Army 2nd Place: $75.00 Sporting 2nd Place: $75.00
Generalship 3rd Place: $100.00 Army 3rd Place: $50.00 Sporting 3rd Place: $50.00

Combat Patrol Tournament
Generalship, Army, Sporting award amounts are based upon participation.

The news: It does not appear as though we will have more than 16 persons tomorrow. As a result, we will go to a one-day format for the Grand Tournament (no need to cut to top 8 to determine winner!) and reserve Sunday for the Combat Patrol tournament only.

Note: If you have not preregistered but are planning on coming, please contact the store ASAP (765.463.4841).
