Hey guys, finally decided to get an account after about half a year of lurking, and
I thought I should tell you lot a bit about me.

I am 13 years of age, and live in Melbourne, I collect orks, and nurgle. I collect orks because I like being able to get away with every conversion, no matter how bad, and I like the idea of a ramshackle, ragtag warband. Nurgle is a little easier to explain. They are simply awesome, and that's why I collect them. I have never played a game of 40k, because I am merely a collected of models, and I pride myself in painting, rather than playing. Being an avid reader of many different warhammer forums, I have gathered that I am an average painter,and definitely not a golden deacon winner, but I wouldn't slap on a base coat and call it done. I do know a lot of techniques like wet blending, highlighting, dry brushing, washing, etc. I decided to join this forum, due to its community, as from what I could see as a lurker, you lot are supportive and willing to give tips, rather than ridicule.

I know for an introduction post, this is pretty damn long so I thank you all for reading.

A warm and waaagh'y welcome to you, trollglue! Good to see a fellow Melbournian on this forum
Orks are a great canvas for all kinds of painting and modelling techniques. I love painting them in a classic green/brown/metallic 3-colour scheme, followed by a bucketful of washes and then some fine line highlights/dryrushes. They look gnarly and menacing, like they're supposed to!
