What you need:

1) Baal Turret: it's got that nice, big gun housing and comes with cool fuel tanks

2) Storm Raven plasma cannon (pair): get rid of the canisters in the back and they will fit right in with minimal shaving. I believe this is the best-looking plasma bit for the job, and trust me, I have tried them all. It's probably also the cheapest if you're buying bitz.

3) 0.3 mm plasticard: optional spacer between the two cannon, otherwise some shaving on the inner sides of the nozzles might be required

4) Plug the gap in the side of the gun shield somehow (pending)

That's basically the whole story. What do you think, sirs?

Looks good. You could just cut a square of plasticard to cover those side holes or use greenstuff, filed down to fit.

Would the plasma cannons from either the dreadnaught kit or the Sentinal kit work?

Its really nice and tempting to have one too.

I think the smaller size of the Storm Ravens Turret guns is what made this possible.
Even a devastators plas-cannon wouldn't provide this option and the dreads cannons are big.

Looks nice. How much space is there behind the hole? If you could fit something that looked like a vent or control panel back there I think that would be cool. Or cover it up with purity seals.

looks awesome, would the Russ Executioner cannon fit in there if you timmed it down a bit?

Lots of questions about alternative bits, so here.

The Russ Executioner is really big. The ribbed portion would just barely fit if you removed all the surrounding material. It would look fairly chubby because of how much you'd have to shave down the back portion.

Russ plasma sponsons look like a decent fit. With major trimming, you could even fit three in there. But I don't really like the design, it's chunky in a bad way and you have to drill the barrels.

The Venerable Dread plasma is basically the same design as the Storm Raven gun, just scaled up and with more hangy bits. Not sure if you could fit two side by side, and height would also be an issue.

The Sentinel one is right out, it's really tall and very asymmetrical. The same would go for the Devastator one.

Its a natural look and feel to it. I'd let you play it as is. Just factoring in the point cost of course. But, I would let you play that conversion no problem. Its a great conversion piece.
