This is the only way to read it. And actually it is not *despite* the new
FAQ, it is because the new
FAQ explicitly says this is how it works.

Wrong. Wounds with different rules form wound
groups. There ever is only a single wound pool.
Here is the actual rule from page 14 if you don't believe me:
If there are Wounds with different Strengths, AP values or special rules, keep them separated into groups of Wounds in the pool.
