Sorry if this has already been discussed,
Q: "When making a Shooting attack against a unit, can Wounds from the Wound Pool be allocated to models that were not within range any of the shooting models when To Hit rolls were made (i.e. half the targeted model are in the shooting models’ range, and half are not)?
(p15) A: No.

So say I have a group of 24 shoota boyz, and 1 big shoota. Say a group of twenty termagants are lined up in rows of 5 18 inches away from my back line of shoota boyz. So if I cause more than five wound they can be allocated to termagants not in the front row because my big shoota has a range of 36?

I always press dat, if you know what I mean.

You're a couple of months late

Most people are running the big shoota on their nobs to benefit from this and precision shots.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...

they need to refaq this. There is actually two ways to read it.

1) As you put it, if you have 1 random dude that has better range then everything can apply their wounds provided they could even hit 1 mode despite the new out of range "faq"

2) It mentions wound pools. Different strengths and APs form different wound pools and are rolled separately, taking whichever the shooting player wants to be rolled for first. You can argue it doesnt extend the "killrange" because the bigger weapon forms a different wound pool, thus is irrelevant.

Its really annoying, people keep going back and forward which way its suppose to be. Judging pure on what "makes sense" its the latter but we all know this game doesnt make sense lol

No there aren't. Any person claiming there are just doesn't understand rules.

This is the only way to read it. And actually it is not *despite* the new FAQ, it is because the new FAQ explicitly says this is how it works.

Wrong. Wounds with different rules form wound groups. There ever is only a single wound pool.
Here is the actual rule from page 14 if you don't believe me: If there are Wounds with different Strengths, AP values or special rules, keep them separated into groups of Wounds in the pool.

No you can't argue it, because they don't form different wound pool. Anyone claiming it does just hasn't read the actual rules.

Or people could read what the actual rules say and go from that.
