Sup dakkas

i'm doing dark angels my friends gave up on, so I was wondering pros and cons using either tech?
And also could I use abadon black undercoat and after dark angel's base with care not to go into recesses?

Cause I was though to paint the whole model base coat and wash it. So what are pros and cons to black lining or washes?
So that if I mess up, I'll just black line it with thinned abadon black?

Thx guys

I'd suggest going with the black lining. In my experience of painting DA, I've found that the green is dark enough already without the need for a black wash. Also you will probably end up doing black lining even if you go the wash route, the black tends to disappear into the green.

True, but isn't black lining a better option seeing how washes darken the model and you have to repaint armor plates? With black lining I shouldn't have to repaint it, right?

With that dark of a green, then use the lining. However, if you make the models a tad brighter, then you could use the wash to tone it down and get the original colour.

You can of course just put the wash in the recesses.

There's a ton of tutorials online on how to paint Dark Angels to give you an idea of how different methods will look.

You can also look at some Salamander tutorials, they aren't the same, but I think some Salamander schemes are closer to what I personally envision on a Dark Angel.
