Basically Relic with a little twist.

The end is near, and one side is going to be wiped out... unless they can fall back to their fortress in time!

[The Armies]:
There are two sides: Attacker and Retreater. The Attacker MUST have between 250-500 more points in their army than the Retreater has in their army.

[The Battlefield]:
Set up terrain as usual. No impassable or lethal terrain may be set up in the Retreater's deployment zone or further.

[Deployment]:
The Attacker chooses a short table edge and the Retreater deploys inside of 12"-24" away from that short table edge. Then the Attacker deploys within 12" of that table edge. The Retreater always goes first, and may not place any units in Reserves. The Attacker may roll for reserves on their first turn.

After both sides have deployed, the Retreater must place a Fortress of Redemption (or equivalent) equipped with Krakstorm Missiles and 4 Heavy Bolters within 12" of the opposite table.

[Objective]:
The Retreater must get to the Fortress of Redemption (FoR) before their force is destroyed. If they do so, they gain an additional 1 Victory Point for each full unit that makes it. Independent Characters who are not attached to a unit do not count.

[Special Rules]:
Night Fighting, Reserves

A little something I thought up. The only real problem is actually having a FoR on hand to use.

I'm sure you could pile up a couple of boxes, DVD's, kitchen roll tubes for the missile silo etc. =)

This sounds like a pretty good mission! I was thinking up one very similar to this yesterday!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Just one quick question;

Is the Fortress of Redemption paid for by the defender? Or does it come free?

If you are interested in reading a narrative, plot driven battle report I would very much appreciate you checking out "The Red Cuff Rebellion Campaign" here:

It's the reason why the Attacking army gets the extra points starting off.

My only suggestion would be that the fleeing army goes turn 1, then on Attacker turn 1 they begin rolling for reserves.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."
